Reservation policy

Any reservation request implies adherence to the present terms of sale and full and unreserved acceptance of their provisions.

Prices:

• To the price mentioned in the reservation will be added at the time of invoicing, the additional services provided by Utopy hostel during the stay.
• Prices are quoted in Euros. VAT and tourist tax are always included. The prices indicated include only the services strictly mentioned in the reservation.

Booking conditions:

Reservations can be made:

via online booking platforms (booking, airbnb)

• The total amount will be requested in order to guarantee the reservation by credit card only.
• The customer must be the owner of the credit card used to make the reservation.

Cancellation or modification conditions:

• The cancellation period without charge is : 5 days before the arrival date. Outside this period, the total amount of the stay will be retained by the hostel.
• In the event of a no-show and in the absence of a cancellation, the full amount of the reservation will be charged. The staff will also be free to rent the bed to other tenants.
• In the event of a shortened stay, the full amount of the stay will be due (except in cases of force majeure).
• Late arrivals or early departures cannot under any circumstances give rise to a refund. Transportation problems (flights, trains, Uber, etc.) remain the responsibility of the renter and do not constitute sufficient grounds to obtain a refund of the reservation.

• Cancellation is effective upon receipt of an e-mail confirming the reservation. The date of receipt of the cancellation request (by email or telephone) will be the date used for the cancellation.

Cancellation or modification conditions for privatizations:

The deadline for cancellation without charge is 15 days before the date of arrival Outside these deadlines, the total amount of the stay will be retained by the hostel.

• The staff will ensure that the property is made available in a condition corresponding to its description.
• The tenant has the right to occupy the house in a peaceful and orderly manner. On departure, the tenant undertakes to leave the property in the same state of cleanliness as he found it on arrival. All fixtures, fittings and furniture in the inventory must be left in the same place as the tenant found them on arrival. Any repairs to installations resulting from negligence on the part of the tenant will be at the tenant's expense.
• Under no circumstances may the tenant sublet the property, even free of charge. This would render the rental contract null and void.
• Under no circumstances may the tenant remain in the property or camp around the property after the rental period has expired, without the permission of the staff. No changes may be made to this contract without the agreement of both parties.
• Arrival is autonomous via email, the tenant can go to the room, and his welcome is assured.
• Departure time is, at the latest, 11 a.m. on the day of departure.
• The number of tenants may not exceed the number indicated on the booking form.
• All extras must be paid at reception before using the service.
• Utopy hostel is not suitable for families with children and is not accessible to minors.
• The staff reserves the right to cancel the rental contract at any time in the event of disrespectful behavior against hostel rules, staff or other tenants.
• For your safety, the hostels are under video surveillance.
• The presence of animals in the house is not allowed. Any tenant who does not respect this rule will cancel their rental contract.

Insurance

Apart from exceptional circumstances, Utopy hostel accepts no responsibility for the theft, loss or damage of guests' personal belongings.

Force majeure

Utopy hostel shall not be liable to its customers in the event of non-performance of its obligations due to force majeure. Cases of force majeure or fortuitous events are those usually recognized by the jurisprudence of the French Courts and Tribunals.

Information Technology and Civil Liberties

• In application of the law L.78-17 of January 6, 1978, the customer is informed that information of a personal nature communicated to Utopy hostel is subject to computerized processing, unless the customer expressly objects.
• The customer has the right to access, rectify or delete any personal data at any time by contacting Utopy hostel.
• The information requested at the time of booking is essential for the proper processing of your request. Utopy hostel is the sole recipient of this information. Utopy hostel undertakes not to communicate to any third party the information you have entrusted to us.
• In order to respect your peace of mind and your communication choices, we would like to inform you of the existence of the Bloctel system. • Following your reservation, you do not benefit from the 14-day cooling-off period. Your reservation is therefore firm and definitive. If you wish to cancel, please check the conditions of your booking.

Applicable Law

In the event of a dispute, and after having referred the matter to the professional's customer service department, any customer may refer the matter to a consumer mediator, within a maximum period of one year from the date of the written complaint, by registered letter to the professional.
